A school event needs entertainment that can cope with more than a handful of children arriving at once. Whether you're arranging an end-of-term party, summer fun day, sports celebration, fundraiser, reward day or school fete, Bounce Up Inflatables has a varied selection of inflatables and games that can be combined to suit the age groups attending and the space available.
Instead of building every school event around conventional bouncy castles, you can mix obstacle courses, giant slides, football challenges, target games and smaller activities. This gives pupils different things to try and makes it easier to organise the day into activity zones or rotating groups.
A school field gives you very different possibilities from a playground or indoor hall. Before choosing equipment, consider where the activities will take place, how pupils will move between them and how much usable setup space is actually available.
Large outdoor sites open up options such as our inflatable assault courses and giant inflatable slides. Smaller events can instead be built around bouncy castles, sports challenges and individual games.
Assault courses are particularly useful when you want an attraction based around continuous activity rather than straightforward bouncing. Pupils can work their way through obstacles, climbing sections and slides before leaving the course ready for the next participants.
Our range includes the Toxic Energy Assault Course, 3D Football Fun Run, Disco Fun Run, Super Hero Assault Course and Red And White Fun Run.
Rather than simply letting everyone race, schools can organise pupils into groups and rotate them through the course during the session.
If your event has a suitable open area, a large slide can provide a completely different activity alongside an assault course or sports game.
The Rush Slide provides a climb followed by a fast trip back down, while the Giant Superhero Slide combines a 10ft platform with bold superhero styling.
For a fairground-inspired attraction, consider our Inflatable Helter Skelter. Larger event sites can also consider the Toxic Inflatable Base Jump With Slide, which requires substantially more space than a standard garden inflatable.
Football equipment can be particularly effective at school events because each attraction offers a different challenge rather than simply repeating the same activity.
Players can aim for points with our Football Penalty Shootout, test their accuracy on Giant Football Darts or take on the Football Shootout Beat The Goalie.
Our football inflatables also include bouncing, sliding and obstacle-course options, so a school can create a much larger football-themed activity area if required.
Some pupils enjoy accuracy and skill games more than obstacle courses. That's where our sports inflatables can add another dimension to the event.
The Inflatable Basketball Game can be used for shooting challenges, while our Inflatable Double Axe Throwing Game uses soft throwing axes with inflatable targets for a very different accuracy activity.
These games can be particularly useful when setting up several stations because rounds can be kept short before pupils move on to the next attraction.
One way to organise a larger school event is to treat the equipment as a series of challenges. For example, pupils could complete an assault course, take several shots at Football Darts, attempt the basketball challenge and finish with another inflatable game.
Scores can be recorded if you want a structured competition, or the activities can simply be enjoyed without keeping results. Our wider games hire selection gives you additional options when building the circuit.
The Bungee Run provides a head-to-head challenge, while the Wrecking Ball gives four participants their own podiums as they try to remain standing.
An end-of-term celebration doesn't have to feel like a sports day. If the aim is simply to give pupils an enjoyable final event before the holidays, you can choose entertainment with a more relaxed party feel.
Our Glitter Disco Dome combines bouncing with a disco atmosphere, while the Disco Fun Run adds music and lighting to a much larger inflatable challenge.
Alternatively, choose from our main bouncy castle range, including colourful party designs and themed inflatables.
A fete or fundraiser works differently from a closed school party because families may arrive throughout the day. Short-turn activities can be particularly useful in this situation.
Football Darts, penalty shooting, basketball and other target games allow individual pupils or family members to have a go before making room for the next participant. Larger inflatables can operate alongside them as the main attractions.
You can also introduce traditional family activities such as Giant Snakes And Ladders and Giant 4 In A Row, giving parents and children something they can enjoy together.
Nursery classes, early years groups and younger primary pupils may need equipment quite different from that chosen for older children.
Our toddler inflatables include the Toddler Playpark and Toddler Caterpillar Obstacle Course.
We also provide soft play, ball pools and Didi Cars, allowing schools and nurseries to create an activity area specifically for smaller children rather than putting them onto equipment intended for older pupils.
Bad weather doesn't necessarily mean the party has to disappear from the calendar. If your school has a suitable sports hall or other indoor space, some of our equipment may be suitable for indoor installation.
Ceiling height is particularly important. The stated height of an inflatable isn't the only measurement to consider, as sufficient operating clearance and suitable access are also required.
Our Indoor Lego Bouncy Castle is a lower-level inflatable designed with venues that have height restrictions in mind. Speak to us about the hall dimensions before booking if you're uncertain about what can be accommodated.
Inflatables can also provide a second part to a traditional sports day. Once the organised races and sporting activities have finished, pupils can move onto inflatable challenges for the remainder of the event.
Football games, basketball, assault courses and the Bungee Run all fit naturally alongside a sports-based day without simply repeating conventional athletics activities.
Schools arranging football tournaments or club-style sporting events can browse our dedicated football party and event equipment for further options.
A whole-school event needs more thought than hiring one large inflatable. Different ages, capacities and activities should be considered when choosing the equipment and planning how pupils will use it.
For larger events, a mixture can make more sense: an assault course for active challenges, a large slide, several sports games and separate equipment for younger children. This creates distinct activity areas rather than concentrating everybody around a single attraction.
If you're unsure what combination to choose, tell us approximately how many pupils will be attending, their age range and the space available.
Bounce Up Inflatables provides equipment for suitable school events in Barrhead, Paisley, Glasgow, Newton Mearns and Giffnock.
Our local hire area also includes Clarkston, Eaglesham, Netherlee and Thornliebank.
We can also provide suitable school and PTA bookings throughout East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire, Lanarkshire, Inverclyde and Dumbarton.
Think about your pupils first and the equipment second. How many year groups are attending? Is the event indoors or outdoors? Do you want organised challenges, free-play entertainment or a mixture of both? Once those questions are answered, it becomes much easier to choose suitable attractions.
